This site is about cooking and eating. I've been cooking and eating for the better part of 50 years and have learned some basics about ingredients, tools, and techniques that put using recipes to make wonderful dishes within the grasp of average folks like me.
Most of what I've learned has come from reading books, watching cooking shows, and messing around in my kitchen. I hope you find the information useful as you cook better and eat better.
